Based on the metallographic studies of undercarriage wheels, which are operated within different periods time and have types degrees wear, it can be concluded that steel with chemical composition close to eutectoid one, equilibrium crystal lattice, should used for manufacturing. The microstructure working surfaces wheels fine pearlite, ideally sorbitol (fine type pearlite). These requirements met by billets made structural alloy 65G. This is preferred material manufacture running overhead cranes. materials stable mechanical characteristics wear resistance, allow getting a predictable result during heat treatment. In other words, carried out tests showed forgings, stamping or hot-rolled grade 65G in their performance, resistance durability many times superior cast billets. Given forged stamped provide higher reliability wheel structure (less prone cracking sudden destruction production operation), more than twice reduce crane runway (rail).
